Founded and incorporated in Colorado in 1996, D&S Construction Inc. was established by father-and-son team Dave Best Sr. and Dave Best Jr. with a shared commitment to quality workmanship, integrity, and serving their local community.

A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Dave Best Jr. developed skills related to the field of civil engineering during his military service. He carried that knowledge, discipline, and work ethic into the construction industry, helping establish a company built on experience, reliability, and a dedication to doing the job right.

For nearly three decades, D&S Construction Inc. has been part of the Durango community, providing excavation, earthmoving, road construction, grading, and site development services throughout Southwest Colorado.

Following the passing of co-founder Dave Best Sr., Dave Jr. continues to lead the family business, carrying forward the values and commitment to quality that he and his father established together.

But D&S Construction's roots in Durango extend well beyond the jobsite. Dave and his wife, Stella, raised their three children in Durango, building their lives in the same community the company has proudly served for generations.
